Gopro hero 9 black: 5k resolution and more ease of use

GoPro has introduced the Hero 9, its new action cam top model It verkorpern a change in strategy of the industry leader: Compared to the Vorganger, the Hero 9 has grown significantly, has more space for a coarser display in the back and a completely new screen in the front. In addition, the action cam now records in 5K resolution and shoots photos at 20 megapixels.

Inside the new Hero 9 now works a CMOS sensor with 23.6 megapixels. This not only makes the higher photo resolution possible. The sensor also gives more latitude for high resolution 5K video, which is steadied via electronic image stabilization.

Up to five viewing angles

In 5K mode, the Hero 9 offers four viewing angles, while at lower resolutions you have five choices. Because here there is the so-called "Superview", which provides nearly (real measured) 120 degrees of viewing angle at 25 frames per second. Even in 5K mode, you can only record at 25 fps, while in all other resolutions you can record at up to 60 frames. In full HD, up to 240 frames per second are still possible for smoother slow motion.

Csu moves all coarse events to the network for the foreseeable future

After the cancellation of its rough party conference in December, the CSU does not want to hold any more rough events in the foreseeable future because of the Corona crisis. "For us as the CSU, we have stated today that on-site events, if they are necessary, can of course take place, subject to the general rules of caution and prudence", said Secretary General Markus Blume on Monday after a meeting of the CSU Executive Board in Munich. "But we see here a special model effect for us as CSU national leadership and therefore we have decided that coarser events and coarse events such as party congresses are canceled until further notice."

No substitute for presence

When asked, Blume explained that digital party conventions can of course never replace classic "never be able to replace". But at the moment there is no other way. Since German party law does not yet permit purely online elections for party positions or the drawing up of lists for elections, it is still necessary to take a "a bit on the side of caution". In the federal government, there are already talks about what emergency mechanisms are possible here, should the Corona situation become even more difficult. In the CSU, the list for the Bundestag elections will be drawn up in the summer of 2021 at the latest, and new elections – for the party presidency, for example – will be held in the fall of the coming year.

Blume emphasized that the Internet-only party convention coming up next Saturday will replace the party convention in December. A postponement, which had been discussed within the party in the meantime, is therefore off the table. The CSU is relying on the Internet instead, he said, and digital exchange is the new normal: "We will do all this virtually, go new ways, welcome new members virtually, as well as organize a grassroots tour of the prime minister and party chairman virtually digitally."

Government report: 2020 climate protection target within reach thanks to corona

According to the German government, the impact of the Corona crisis on Germany’s climate balance cannot yet be predicted in detail – but it brings the 2020 climate protection target within reach. By how much greenhouse gas emissions have declined, he said "currently still fraught with uncertainty and cannot yet be accurately predicted", says the climate protection report for 2019, which is to be approved by the federal cabinet on Wednesday. When the 2020 emissions "expected to be significantly lower", the goal of emitting 40 percent fewer greenhouse gases than in 1990 can be achieved.

The German government had actually written off this 2020 target as no longer achievable – and therefore allowed itself significantly more climate-damaging greenhouse gases for 2020 in the new climate protection law. Now it could work out after all. In addition to the dramatic consequences of Corona for the economy and jobs, the EU emissions trading system, in which the energy sector and parts of industry trade in pollution rights, also contributes to the problem, "A higher mitigation contribution than expected six months ago", states the report.

Not under its own power

The paper puts the mitigation impact of the 2020 climate change program, which was adopted in 2014, at between 37.5 and 47.96 million metric tons of CO2-equivalent, a unit into which all greenhouse gases are converted. That alone won’t be enough to meet 2020 target.
